Why Can’t I See My Wallets After Logging Back In?

This guide explains why you can’t see your old wallets after logging in again, how to recover them, and how to use your new multi-chain wallet.

Why can’t I see my old wallets?

If you’ve returned to Best Wallet after a while and logged in, but instead of seeing your old wallets, you've created a new wallet, don't worry—this is normal.

This is due to Best Wallet's recent multi-chain migration to a new wallet infrastructure, meaning that Best Wallet now supports and creates multi-chain wallets. You can read more in our guide about the migration here.

What this means for you is:

  • You’re not logging into your previous wallet; you’ve created a brand-new one. This is because the old account is no longer active, and you've signed up with the new wallet infrastructure.

  • Your old wallets haven’t been deleted—they just need to be recovered. Although it may seem like Best Wallet has deleted your old wallets, they just need to be migrated and/or imported into your new Best Wallet account.

How to recover your old main wallet

Your old main wallet can be restored in-app by heading to Settings → Manage Wallets, then hitting the "Recover Old Main Wallet" button.

For a step-by-step walkthrough, you can read our support guide or watch our video tutorial:

Once recovered, you’ll see your old wallet and token balance as before. Please note that this will only recover your old "main" wallet.

How to recover your old created and imported wallets

If you had additional wallets, including ones you manually created or imported:

  • Created wallets: You’ll need to recover them using their Secret Recovery Phrase or a copy of their private keys. If you don't have these backed up, you won't be able to recover your wallet.

  • Imported wallets: These can be re-imported using the private key or recovery phrase you originally used.

To recover multiple wallets, go to Settings → Manage Wallets → EVM-Only Wallets → Add Wallet.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to import a wallet into Best Wallet.

Using your new multi-chain wallet

Your new wallet is a multi-chain wallet, which:

  • Supports multiple blockchains, including Bitcoin and, in the future, Solana, Ton, and Base. It also supports Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon, as your old wallets did.

  • Has a different set of addresses from your old wallets. This is important to remember when transferring or transacting with your new wallets.

You can choose to keep using your old wallets, your new multi-chain wallet, or both.

Struggling to recover your old main wallet?

The most important thing to remember when trying to recover your old main wallet is to sign in with the exact method (email, Apple SSO, or Google SSO) and email/account you used when first signing up for Best Wallet.

That means if you first created your Best Wallet in early 2024 via Google, with the account using "[email protected]", you must use the Google SSO option and the same account to recover your old main wallet.

For any issues that can’t be resolved, please email the Best Wallet support team via [email protected] or open a ticket on our Support site.

Important reminder: Best Wallet will never request your wallet’s private key or Secret Recovery Phrase. Keep this information strictly private and do not share it with anyone.
