How To Recover Your Old Main Wallet

Learn how to regain access to your old main wallet after the migration.

Learn how to recover your old main wallet and any crypto assets you held in it post-migrating to a multi-chain wallet.

Although your old wallets should automatically migrate, on rare occasions your old wallets may not automatically import over. If this happens, you can recover it in-app — please note you can only recover your old main wallet using this method.

For any other wallet (created or imported) you will have to recover it using an offline backup — read how to import wallets using their private key or secret recovery phrase.


Step 1: Start your wallet recovery

First, open Best Wallet and head to the Settings tab.

Next, tap Manage Wallets.

In Manage Wallets, you should see the option at the bottom to Recover Old Main Wallet — tap the button to begin.

Next, please read the warning message — it's important to only do this if you signed up and used Best Wallet before 25/02/2025.

Once you've ticked the box, tap Continue.

Read the instructions carefully — you must use the same sign-up method and email to recover your old main wallet. Once you're familiar with the process, tap Continue.

Step 2: Log back in

Next, you need to log back into your original Best Wallet account. Please use the same login method and account/email address.

So, for example, if you initially created your Best Wallet via Google, make sure to enter that account for your recovery.

Next, follow the on-screen instructions. This may be a code emailed to you, logging into your Apple ID, or following the Google login steps.

It's important to log in using the same account that you used to sign up — that way, you can recover your old wallet.

Once you've selected the right account, allow Best Wallet to log in.

Once that is done, you're old main wallet — with all its assets and funds — will be automatically imported in!
