How To Resolve Unsupported Network Crypto Deposits

Learn what to do if you've sent crypto to your wallet on an unsupported network.

Updated this week

In this article:

Learn what to do if you've sent a token to your wallet that is currently on an unsupported network.

For example, if you've sent a token on an EVM chain that isn't currently supported in Best Wallet, you won't be able to see or transact that token in-app.

Don't worry, your crypto is not necessarily lost, just not accessible in your Best Wallet app.

What chains are supported in Best Wallet?

Currently, your multi-chain wallet(s) in Best Wallet support the following blockchains:

  • Bitcoin

  • Ethereum

  • BNB Smart Chain

  • Base Chain

  • Polygon

Whilst your EVM-only wallets support:

  • Ethereum

  • BNB Smart Chain

  • Polygon

If you've sent a token on an unsupported chain to one of your wallets in Best Wallet, either your token is inaccessible, or the transfer failed. Below, we will go through the steps of how to see your cryptocurrency again.

Import your wallet into another provider

If you've sent crypto on an unsupported network to a wallet in your Best Wallet, you won't be able to see or transact those tokens. This does not mean your crypto is necessarily lost, just that it's currently not accessible within the Best Wallet app (or the transfer failed, so your tokens will remain in the source wallet/account).

To see any tokens, you need to import your wallet into another crypto wallet provider that supports the network of your crypto.

For example, if you sent a token on Arbitrum to your multi-chain wallet, you won't see that asset in Best Wallet. However, because Arbitrum is an EVM-compatible, the transfer would be successful, meaning your wallet does hold those tokens, just that you can't see them in-app. Don't worry, it's not necessarily lost β€” just not accessible in Best Wallet yet.

What you can do is export your wallet's private key into another app provider that supports that network, so, in this example, a wallet provider that supports Arbitrum. You would need to export an EVM chain private key, so Ethereum. Read our guide on how to export a private key.

You can then import that wallet into another provider to see and transact your missing tokens.

How to access your wallet's private key:

Accessing any of your wallet's private keys in Best Wallet is easy. Watch our two-minute guide:

In short, you can access your wallet's private keys by going to the Settings tab, going to Manage Wallets, then selecting a wallet, and then tapping Private Keys. For more details, read our step-by-step guide on how to find and copy your EVM-only wallet's private key or export your multi-chain wallet's private keys.

Make sure to handle your private keys safely β€” never share them with anyone online, and only use them to import your wallet on trusted, verified providers. If someone gains access to your private keys, they can access and transfer your crypto.

What are crypto networks?

Crypto networks, also commonly referred to as blockchains, chains, or blockchain networks, are essentially a digital infrastructure that facilitates cryptocurrency transactions.

There are many different types of crypto networks, such as Ethereum, Polygon, Bitcoin, Base Chain, and so on.

Whilst some can interact seamlessly (Ethereum and Base Chain), some cannot (Ethereum and Bitcoin), meaning that wallet providers often do not support all crypto networks. Read our in-depth guide on crypto networks for more information.

Best Wallet currently supports five major cryptocurrency networks: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon, Base Chain, and BNB Smart Chain. That means you can buy, swap, hold, and send any cryptocurrency available on these supported crypto networks in your multi-chain wallets.

To ensure you're transacting on the right networks, read our guide on how to check which network your crypto is on.
