Step 1: Downloading the Best Wallet app
First, make sure you have downloaded the Best Wallet app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on whether you have an Apple or Android
device.
Step 2: Signing up and setting up 2FA
Once the Best Wallet app is downloaded, you will be prompted to sign up when opening the app for the first time. There are two main methods to sign up to use Best Wallet - you can either use your Email or Apple/Google accounts.
If you sign up with your email address to create an account, you will be emailed a verification code to confirm your email address. The other option is to create your account with a social log in. This will link your Best Wallet to either your Google or Apple account.
In both methods, you will then be asked to set up 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) to ensure that you never lose access to your Best Wallet. We highly recommend you set up 2FA to help secure your Best Wallet app.
2FA can be set up with your phone number, and to confirm you will be sent an authentication code.
Remember: If you are ever logged out of your Best Wallet, make sure you choose the same method to log back in as when you initially signed up. So if you signed up through your Apple account, make sure to log back in via your Apple account. This ensures that you will always return to your correct Best Wallet account.

Step 3: Secure your Best Wallet app
Next, you will be asked to set up a passcode to further secure your Best Wallet on your device.
Think of this in the same way as how you would protect your online banking app. Whenever you open the app, you will be asked to input this passcode (or use biometrics) to ensure your funds are protected even if you lose your device.
Note: Make sure you use a memorable and secure passcode, as it is the key to gaining access to your Best Wallet.
You can also enable biometrics, like FaceID or fingerprint recognition, to log in to your Best Wallet instead of entering your passcode.
Step 4: Start using your Best Wallet
Once that is done, you will now have your very own Best Wallet! You can now start or continue your crypto journey in the Best Wallet app.
You can easily buy, send, receive, and swap thousands of major cryptocurrencies in Best Wallet.
Additionally, you can create new wallets in Best Wallet, as well as importing existing wallets. This means you can manage your entire crypto portfolio within the Best Wallet app.
Things to remember
Your Main Best Wallet does not have a seed/secret recovery phrase. Your Social or Email log in is the only way to get access to these funds. Make sure you keep your log in details secure.
On the Best Wallet app’s home page, you can click on your main wallet to find the details. This includes your wallet address and core functions Buy, Swap, Receive, and Send. You learn how to do all these and more in the 'Using Best Wallet' articles.
You can create multiple wallets in the Best Wallet app, which can help you organise your funds. Any subsequent wallets you create will have a secret recovery phrase, make sure you keep this safe. If you lose it, you will lose access to that specific wallet and any funds in it. Learn how to create a new wallet.
