How To Turn On/Off Your Biometrics in Best Wallet

Learn how to toggle on/off your biometric security in the Best Wallet app.

Updated over a week ago

Toggling on or off your biometric authentication is quick and easy in Best Wallet. This is useful if you didn't turn on biometric authentication when setting up your Best Wallet, or if you want to disable it and just use your Best Wallet passcode instead.

Note: Best Wallet will use your device's biometrics to authenticate actions in-app, meaning you cannot change your biometrics in Best Wallet, only toggle it on/off. If you need to change your FaceID or Fingerprint, you need to do this in your device's settings.

Step 1: Heading to your Settings tab

First, open your Best Wallet app. From the home screen, go to the Settings tab in your navigation bar.

Step 2: Toggling on/off and authenticating yourself

Next, go to the "Biometrics" option and toggle it on/off.

If you are toggling it on, you will have to authenticate yourself with FaceID/Fingerprint to be able to switch it on. Once that is done, you should see it activated.

Now, you will be able to authenticate actions like sending your crypto with your biometrics.

Keeping your Best Wallet safe

We recommend you keep your biometrics toggled on, for an extra layer of safety. In the case that you lose your device, it's far easier to guess/hack a passcode than your biometrics.
