How To Set Up 2FA in Best Wallet

Learn how to enable 2FA to secure your Best Wallet app.

Updated over 4 months ago

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an important part of securing your Best Wallet and therefore your crypto assets.

Enabling 2FA adds an additional layer of security, keeping your Best Wallet safe in case your email or Apple/Google accounts are compromised.

This is because even if your password or Google/Apple accounts are hacked, guessed, or even phished, with 2FA, this will not be enough to give an intruder access to your Best Wallet; without approval at the second factor, a password/account access alone is useless.

Best Wallet uses your phone number for 2FA to confirm your identity by sending a code that you then use to access your account.

If you didn't set up 2FA when creating your Best Wallet, you can set it up now.

Step 1: Heading to your Settings

First, head to your Best Wallet's Settings tab, which is found in the navigation bar.

Next, tap on "Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)" to start setting it up.

Step 2: Entering your phone number & confirming

First, if you haven't enabled 2FA, you will need to toggle it on.

Once toggled on, you will have to enter your phone number. Note: This will only be used for 2FA purposes. Ensure you pick the right location for your phone number.

Once you enter your phone number, tap "Send verification code", which will verify that it is your number. This process mirrors exactly how 2FA works; verifying your identity by sending you a unique code.

Next, enter the unique 6-digit code that should be messaged to you via SMS.

Once you input your unique code, you've successfully set up 2FA in Best Wallet!

By enabling 2FA, you've added an extra layer of security in your Best Wallet, keeping your crypto safe! If you need

Keeping your Best Wallet safe

We recommend you keep 2FA enabled as an extra layer of security. With 2FA, even in the case your email or Google/Apple accounts are hacked or compromised, your crypto will remain safe.
