Why Can’t I Claim My $PEPENODE Tokens?

Learn how to troubleshoot issues when claiming your Pepe Node tokens.

Updated this week

In this article:

Troubleshoot why your $PEPENODE claim transaction may not be working and the steps to resolve common issues.

Important: The $PEPENODE claim period begins on January 8 at 2:00 PM UTC.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to claim your $PEPENODE tokens, or watch our video tutorial.

You’re trying to claim staked $PEPENODE tokens

If you chose to stake during the token sale, you cannot claim these tokens on January 8.

Staked tokens follow a 7-day unlock period, which means they remain locked in the staking pool until the unlock window ends.

Withdrawals for staked $PEPENODE open on January 15.

To withdraw your staked tokens and rewards:

  1. Go to the official PEPENODE staking dashboard.

  2. Connect the wallet you used to purchase & stake $PEPENODE.

  3. Withdraw your unlocked tokens and rewards once withdrawals open.

Staked tokens cannot be withdrawn in-app.

You will also need ETH in your wallet to pay the gas fee required for the withdrawal transaction.

You don’t have enough ETH to cover the gas fee

When claiming your $PEPENODE tokens, you must pay a gas fee to process the transaction on the Ethereum network.

During busy periods — such as the initial claim launch — gas fees can spike because many users are claiming at the same time.

To successfully claim, make sure your wallet has enough ETH to cover any spikes in gas fees. We recommend holding at least $10 worth of ETH in your wallet before attempting your claim.

If the gas fee appears unusually high, consider waiting for a less congested time.

If you don’t have enough ETH:

Issues with the in-app claim page

Due to high activity during the launch window, the in-app claim flow may experience temporary delays.

If this happens:

  • Wait for the claim period to become less busy, or

  • Complete your claim through the project’s official website (if supported), by connecting your wallet and submitting your claim there

This provides a reliable fallback if the in-app flow is temporarily slow.

Your claim transaction shows as “Pending”

If your claim seems stuck as “Pending,” it is usually caused by Ethereum network congestion, not an issue with Best Wallet.

This is normal during busy periods on the blockchain.

Once you have submitted your claim transaction:

  • Do not try again or submit additional transactions

  • You may be charged multiple gas fees if you attempt the claim repeatedly

To check your transaction status:

  1. Go to Etherscan

  2. Enter your wallet address

  3. Look under the Transactions tab to find your claim

If it is marked as “Pending,” wait for the network to process the transaction — please don't try again, as you may end up paying several gas fees.

You need to enable or import $PEPENODE into your wallet

After claiming, $PEPENODE should appear automatically in your wallet.

However, if it doesn’t, you may need to enable or import the token manually.

Struggling to claim your $PEPENODE tokens?

If you’ve tried all of the above steps and are still unable to claim:

  1. Check the Pepe Node official channels and Best Wallet social media for any status updates

  2. Review the Upcoming Tokens support guides

  3. Contact the Best Wallet support team

To contact Support:

  • Go to Settings → Get Help in the app, or
