Learn how to view your wallet and transactions on a blockchain explorer.

Blockchain explorers are useful to view real-time on-chain updates, including your wallet's balance, transaction statuses, and token holdings.

Popular blockchain explorers include:

As always, Do Your Own Research (DYOR) before using a platform or blockchain service.

Every multi-chain wallet in Best Wallet will have several different sets of addresses, per chain (also known as blockchain or crypto network).

It's important you find the right address for the right blockchain explorer — you will need your Ethereum address for the Ethereum blockchain explorer, your Bitcoin address for a Bitcoin blockchain explorer, and so on.

Step 1: Find the right wallet address

First, find the right wallet by scrolling through your wallet cards. Once you find the right wallet, tap the Receive button.

Next, select the right chain for the blockchain you want to view your wallet.

On the next screen, you will see your address for that blockchain. You can copy the long alphanumeric string at the bottom to your device's clipboard or notes app.

Step 2: Go to the blockchain explorer

Next, open the blockchain explorer on a browser. This process will vary slightly depending on the blockchain explorer, but most will follow the same process.

The first step is to paste your address into the search bar/wallet address section:

Next, tap the search bar.

This will show your wallet on this blockchain, including its balance on that chain:

To view your transactions, scroll down.

Here, you will find any transactions your wallet has been involved in.

Why view your wallet on a blockchain explorer?

It's useful to view your wallet on a blockchain explorer for several reasons:

  • Transparency: You can see every transaction associated with your wallet, including incoming and outgoing tokens, contract interactions, and failed transactions.

  • Verification: It’s a quick way to confirm whether a transaction has been successfully processed and included in a block.

  • Token tracking: You can check token balances, including custom tokens that might not appear in your wallet app by default.

  • Troubleshooting: If something doesn’t look right in your wallet, the blockchain explorer can help identify issues such as pending transactions or unexpected activity.

  • Sharing details: It’s easy to copy and share your wallet address or a specific transaction link with others for Best Wallet support or confirmation.
