Why Can't I Claim My $MIND Tokens?

Learn how to claim your MIND of Pepe tokens in Best Wallet.

Updated this week

In this article:

Troubleshoot why your MIND of Pepe ($MIND) token claim isn't working and the steps to resolve the issue.

Important: The MIND of Pepe claim period starts at 2:00 pm UTC on June 3rd. You won't be able to claim your $MIND token before then.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to claim your $MIND tokens, or watch our video tutorial:

You're trying to claim staked $MIND tokens

If you bought and staked $MIND during the pre-launch sale, you won't be able to claim your new tokens on June 3rd.

Instead, you can claim your staked tokens on June 10th at 2:00 pm UTC. This is because there's a 7-day unlocking period for staked $MIND tokens once MIND of Pepe launches, meaning they aren't accessible or claimable.

This unstaking period is not set or managed by Best Wallet, and any query about staked tokens should be directed toward the MIND of Pepe team. You can see your staked token balance by connecting your wallet to https://mindofpepe.com/en/staking.

You will still need ETH to withdraw your tokens and rewards — we recommend holding at least $20 worth of ETH in your claiming wallet.

Please don’t try to claim your tokens before then, as the transaction won’t go through, and you may incur a gas fee.

You don't have enough ETH to cover the gas fee whilst claiming

When claiming your $MIND tokens, you will need to pay a gas fee to process and confirm your claim transaction.

The gas fee for claiming MIND of Pepe tokens will be payable in ETH, the native token of Ethereum. This is because the MIND of Pepe token is being launched on the Ethereum blockchain, meaning it will also be tradable on the Ethereum network.

Important: Gas fees often spike during periods of high network activity, which may happen during the MIND of Pepe claim. This is because there will be many $MIND holders trying to claim their new tokens at the same time.

To successfully claim, make sure your wallet has enough ETH to cover any spike in gas fees. Whilst gas fees on Ethereum are usually around $5-$15 per transaction, we recommend having around $30-$50 of ETH in your wallet.

If the claiming fee seems too high, consider waiting for a less congested time to claim

If you don’t have crypto to pay the gas fees, you can add gas ETH to your wallet by buying in-app (this may take a few hours) or depositing from another wallet or an exchange.

Issues with Best Wallet's in-app claim page

Because of the expected high volume of claim transactions, the Best Wallet in-app claim flow may be slow.

If you are having issues with the claim in-app, either wait until the claim is quieter or go and claim directly on the MIND of Pepe website via a desktop browser. All you need to do is connect your wallet and complete your $MIND claim there.

The claim transaction seems stuck "pending"

If it appears your claim transaction isn't going through, it may be due to delays on the Ethereum network. This happens during busy periods on a blockchain, where transactions might get held up or delayed, stuck in "Pending".

This is completely natural, and we recommend that once you have submitted your $MIND claim transaction, do not try again to avoid being charged more than one gas fee.

To check your transaction status, we recommend going to Etherscan, entering your claiming wallet's address, and checking the status of your claim transaction — it should be listed in the transaction tab. If it says pending, please wait for your claim to go through.

You need to import the $MIND into your wallet

Although the MIND of Pepe token should automatically be imported into your wallet's token list after you claim, if it doesn't, it's quick and easy to find, enable, or import the $MIND contract address.
