Learn how to prepare for claiming your upcoming tokens, including understanding network requirements, managing gas fees, and what to do if your tokens don’t appear in your wallet immediately.
Claiming tokens from Best Wallet’s Upcoming Tokens section is an essential step after participating in a pre-launch sale.
When you buy a pre-launch token, you are effectively reserving it until it launches. Once it does launch, you will have to manually claim your tokens, in what is often referred to as a "claim period". This means connecting your wallet to the project's claim website, approving your claim transaction, paying the gas fee, and then receiving your tokens.
To ensure a smooth process, it’s crucial to prepare your wallet for claiming.
How to claim successfully
To ensure you claim your new tokens without any issues, please follow these steps:
Hold enough crypto for gas fees when claiming
Claiming tokens is a type of blockchain transaction, meaning it will incur a gas fee. Gas fees are paid to cover a blockchain network's computational cost to process and validate transactions.
Gas fees are paid in the network’s native cryptocurrency (for example, you pay gas fees with ETH when claiming on Ethereum, or BNB when claiming on BNB Smart Chain).
The gas fee when claiming will depend on the network and its current activity. For example, high network activity can cause fees to spike, especially on the Ethereum blockchain.
This is why we normally recommend having between $50 to $100 worth of ETH or $25 worth of BNB in the wallet you will be claiming with. This may seem high, but because claim periods tend to make networks additionally busy, it's good to have a buffer to ensure a successful claim.
Understand the claiming procedure
Claiming new tokens can be confusing, especially if this is your first time. Because blockchain networks get busy, especially during large claim periods, it may take some time for the claim to get through.
If the claim doesn't seem to be working, we recommend waiting for a quieter period to claim your tokens. Additionally, track your wallet and transactions by inputting your wallet address into Etherscan to see the status of your claim transaction. We wouldn't recommend trying many times to claim in a row, as it may result in lost crypto in gas fees.
Stay updated via notifications and social channels
Enable push notifications in the Best Wallet app to get instant updates on claiming periods and token launches:
Go to Settings > Notifications, and toggle notifications ON.
Additionally, follow the project’s official social channels for real-time updates on claiming windows, network changes, or potential issues. We also recommend joining that project's community, as their team will always be in a better position to answer questions and issues. Best Wallet does not run or manage any Upcoming Tokens project (barring the pre-launch sale for Best Wallet Token).
Important: Always verify third-party links, including websites, from official sources to avoid phishing scams. Don't connect your wallet to any website unless you're sure it's the official project.
Know where to view your tokens
Tokens purchased through the Upcoming Tokens section remain there during the pre-launch phase.
After claiming, tokens will appear in your wallet’s Tokens tab, and should automatically be visible once claiming in your token list.
If they don’t, you may need to import the contract address and refresh your token list.
How to import tokens:
Copy the token’s contract address from the project’s official website or the token details in Best Wallet.
Go to the Manage Tokens page in Best Wallet.
Paste the contract address. The token details will autofill. Confirm to add the token.

Troubleshooting claiming tokens
Like with any blockchain network transaction and new token token launch, issues can occur. This is completely normal, and the
If tokens don’t appear in your wallet:
First, make sure you have claimed your new tokens. There may be a delay in the claim transaction going through — this is completely normal, and we recommend just waiting before trying again. Check the Upcoming Tokens tab, as pre-launch tokens remain here until claimed.
If you have claimed but can't see your tokens in your wallet's balance, please refresh your token list in your wallet by tapping the 3 dots next to your Tokens/Upcoming Tokens tab.
If they still don't show, you may have to import the new token's contract address — follow our quick step-by-step guide on how to import a new token.
Web view issues during claiming:
If the claim in-app browser doesn’t seem to be working, please close and restart Best Wallet. This may happen during periods of high traffic, but we are working on improving the claim process.
If the issue persists, use an external browser to connect to the project's official claiming site directly — ensure you are using the correct site to claim, we recommend going to the project's official X account (look for verification, number of followers, previous tweets, and whether Best Wallet follows the account) and clicking their claim link.
