How To Withdraw Staked Tokens with Best Wallet

Learn how to unstake and withdraw your tokens back to your wallet.

Updated today

In this article:

If you’ve previously staked tokens through a project’s staking dashboard (for example, after purchasing them in Best Wallet’s Upcoming Tokens tab), withdrawing them is how you reclaim access to your tokens.

This guide walks you through each step of the withdrawal process — from connecting your wallet to confirming the transaction — and includes important tips about gas fees and delays during high-traffic periods.

Some important things to note: You can only withdraw staked tokens you've bought during their pre-launch token sale after the unlock period, normally 7 days after the claim period starts.

Additionally, we are using Best Wallet Token ($BEST) as the example for this article, but the $BEST token is still selling in a pre-launch token sale period. You cannot claim or withdraw your $BEST tokens currently — the screens are mock-ups for educational purposes only.

Step 1: Go to the project’s website

Start by visiting the official website for the project whose tokens you’ve staked. You can't currently unstake and withdraw your tokens in Best Wallet — it must be done via the project's website.

Make sure to use the official website — there are often many fake websites of Upcoming Token projects attempting phishing scams. To learn more, read our guide on how to avoid phishing scams.

Once on the official website, go to the Staking dashboard, normally located in the top navigation bar.

On the Staking dashboard, you need to connect your wallet. You can do this via the "Withdraw Staked Tokens" or the "Connect a Wallet" button above.

Note: If the button says "Buy TOKEN" instead, it's safe to click and connect — no funds will be taken, and you won't automatically purchase that token.

Step 2: Connect your wallet

Once you tap either button, you will see a list of popular wallet providers — select Best Wallet.

Once you've selected Best Wallet, you'll need to scan the QR code with your Best Wallet app.

First, select the wallet you used to stake your tokens, then tap the camera icon on the top right of the wallet card.

Make sure to scan the entire QR code to connect your wallet.

Your wallet will ask you to approve the connection. Follow the prompts in-app to confirm.

Once you've connected your wallet, you should see an in-app confirmation.

Step 3: View & withdraw your staked token balance

Once connected, your staked token balance and reward token balances will appear in the dashboard. You should also see options to withdraw or claim any available rewards.

To withdraw your staked tokens and rewards, tap the "Withdraw Staked Tokens".

The pop-up will show a breakdown of how much you're withdrawing:

Once you tap withdraw, you will need to return to Best Wallet.

Step 4: Approve the transaction in Best Wallet

You will see a pop-up asking you to approve the transaction in your wallet.

In Best Wallet, you will see a breakdown of your transaction, including the estimated gas fee.

Gas Fees Explained

Before confirming, your wallet will show the gas fee required for the withdrawal transaction.

The gas fee you pay depends on several things: what blockchain the token you're withdrawing is on (so if it's on Ethereum, you'll pay the gas fee in ETH, etc), as well as how busy the network is (if Ethereum is busy, the gas fee might be higher).

Ensure your wallet has enough ETH to cover the withdrawal gas fees. Whilst gas fees on Ethereum are usually around $1-$10 per transaction, we recommend having around $15 worth of ETH in your wallet just in case.

If you don’t have crypto to pay the gas fees, you can add gas ETH to your wallet by buying in-app (this may take a few hours) or depositing from another wallet or an exchange.

Read our comprehensive guide on gas fees.

Once you confirm, your withdrawal transaction will be processed by the network.

Note: The transaction may take a few minutes to finalize, depending on network congestion. Please don’t try to repeat the withdrawal until your first transaction is confirmed.

Step 5: Check your wallet

After the transaction is confirmed, your tokens will appear back in your wallet. If you don’t see them immediately, try refreshing your token list in Best Wallet.

For the example we've used, there's no price or value because $BEST token hasn't launched; however, for launched Upcoming Tokens, there will be an overall fiat value and token value.

Need further support?

First, make sure you're connecting to the official project's website/staking dashboard. The best way to find it is via official Best Wallet communications or via the project's official X account.

Second, ensure you have enough ETH (or other gas token) in your wallet to process the withdrawal transaction. Most failed transactions are due to insufficient gas.

Third, don’t try to withdraw staked tokens that are still locked or in a cooldown period. The project and Best Wallet communications should clearly state any unlock window.

For any inquiries, please contact our support team by emailing [email protected] or opening a ticket on Discord or our support website.

Important Reminder: Nobody from the Best Wallet team will ever ask for your wallet’s private key. Please don't ever share this information with anyone.
