Learn the simple steps to "Speed Up" a Bitcoin transaction in Best Wallet.
If your Bitcoin transaction is taking longer than expected, it’s likely because the network is congested and the fee you initially set is too low for miners to prioritize.
Fortunately, Best Wallet includes a Speed Up tool that lets you resubmit your transaction with a higher fee to move it to the front of the line.
Step 1: Locate your pending BTC transfer
To start, you need to find the specific transaction that is currently stuck. First, open Best Wallet and tap the Trade tab.
Tap History.
Find your Bitcoin transaction. Tap on it to open the details and see the options to speed it up.
Step 2: Tap "Speed Up Transaction"
On the transaction details screen, you will see a button labeled Speed Up Transaction.
Once you tap Speed Up Transaction, you will see a brief explanation screen:
Tap Continue to pick your Speed Up priority.
Step 3: Choose your new speed
Once you tap Speed Up, you can adjust the gas fee to a higher level.
You will generally see two options:
Urgent: The highest fee priority to get your transaction into the very next available block.
Fast: A moderate fee increase to help your transaction clear sooner than it is currently.
Important Reminder: For Bitcoin only, you can use this feature once per transaction. To prevent duplicate fees and confusion, the "Speed Up" button will be disabled after your first attempt. Because of this, we recommend choosing Urgent if the network is very busy.
Step 4: Confirm and resubmit
Review the Speed Up fee.
Ensure you have enough BTC in your wallet to cover the cost, then tap Confirm. Best Wallet will broadcast the new version of your transaction to the Bitcoin network.
How it works behind the scenes
When you "Speed Up" a Bitcoin transaction, Best Wallet uses a feature called Replace-By-Fee (RBF). This tells the network to ignore your old, low-fee transaction and replace it with the new one that has a higher "tip" for the miners.
Network Speed: Even after speeding up, Bitcoin still requires a new block to be mined, which happens roughly every 10 minutes.
Cost: The fee is set and paid to the Bitcoin network, not Best Wallet.
