Learn the simple steps to buy Bitcoin (BTC) in Best Wallet. Purchase Bitcoin using various payment methods, including credit or debit cards, Apple or Google Pay, bank transfer, or other local options.
By partnering with Onramper, a platform that aggregates and selects the best platforms to buy and sell crypto, Best Wallet offers you the most competitive prices and lower fees when buying Bitcoin.
When you buy Bitcoin in Best Wallet, your BTC is sent directly to your wallet, so you avoid the extra time and costs of transferring crypto from exchanges.
Step 1: Getting started
It’s quick and easy to set up your Bitcoin purchase in Best Wallet.
It is important to note that the wallet where you start the purchase will be the one that receives your Bitcoin — also remember, you can only buy Bitcoin in your multi-chain wallets.
To start, you can tap the "Buy" button on your wallet card from the home screen.
This will take you to our in-app buy page, where you can set up your Bitcoin purchase and be paired with a trusted third-party provider.
Step 2: Setting up your Bitcoin purchase
On the next screen, you can set up your purchase. Start by selecting Bitcoin (BTC) as the cryptocurrency you want to buy.
If Bitcoin is not automatically chosen, just tap on the cryptocurrency drop-down and select it.
Once Bitcoin is selected, choose your preferred payment method.
Depending on your location, you can pay through Apple or Google Pay, credit or debit card, bank transfer, and other regional options.
Typically, options like Apple/Google Pay or card payments are the fastest and easiest. After selecting the payment method, you’ll need to choose the provider that suits you best.
Onramper will suggest the provider with the best rate and conditions for your purchase. However, you can explore options based on price, speed, performance, or the provider's Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
Pick the payment method that’s most convenient for you.
After setting the provider and payment method, confirm the amount of Bitcoin you want to purchase and ensure all details are correct.
Once you're happy with your purchase, tap “Buy BTC” at the bottom.
Step 3: Purchasing through the provider
This will connect you to the selected provider to finalize your purchase.
All you need to do is open the provider — this will either keep you within Best Wallet or open your device's browser.
Once that is done, you may need to create an account with the provider. For example, when using Topper, you will have to set up an account with an email address or an Apple or Google account.
You might also be required to complete an identification verification process based on the provider's policies. This ensures compliance with legal requirements and keeps your transactions secure.
This is never set or fulfilled by Best Wallet and is solely dependent on the crypto purchase provider. Best Wallet will never process or access any personal information from buying or selling crypto.
Once the KYC is complete, confirm your purchase and keep a note of any Transaction ID or receipt the provider gives you.
In some cases, you may also have to verify/authorize your crypto payment with your bank provider, depending on where you are located and your bank's policy on crypto purchases.
Reminder: Whilst this process is done via a third-party provider, your crypto purchase will go directly to your Best Wallet!
Step 4: Receiving your Bitcoin
After completing your purchase through the provider, you can leave the Buy page and return to Best Wallet.
Your Bitcoin will be sent directly to your wallet. If you encounter any issues, it's best to first contact the provider's support team as they can track your purchase and troubleshoot any problems accurately.
There may be a slight delay before the Bitcoin appears, especially during periods of high network congestion on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Once deposited by the provider, your Bitcoin will appear in your token list and your wallet's balance will also be updated.
You can view the transaction by going to the Trade tab, then History.
In the History section, you will see all your transactions for that wallet.
Tap on the transaction to see more details, including any fees and the current status of your purchase.
Remember: Your Bitcoin purchase may take some time to appear in your wallet, and may not show up in your History section until it's in your wallet.
How long will it take for your Bitcoin to show in Best Wallet?
The time it takes to receive your Bitcoin depends on the provider and the current network activity. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, and in rare cases, a few days.
You can check your purchase status in the Transactions tab in the Best Wallet app, which will offer updates on the status of your purchase on the blockchain.
If your transaction in your Best Wallet is marked as "Initiated" or "Pending", this just means it is being processed on the blockchain.
Remember, you can check the status of your purchase further via the provider you used. They should have given you some sort of receipt/transaction ID that will help you track the progress of your crypto purchase.
If you've bought via your bank card, you can also check your online banking app to see if the money has left your account.
It’s recommended to wait a few hours before troubleshooting, as Bitcoin transactions can sometimes take longer depending on network traffic.
