How To Receive Ethereum Tokens in Best Wallet

Learn how to receive ETH and ERC-20 tokens in-app.

Updated this week

In this article:

Learn the simple steps to receive any token on the Ethereum blockchain to your Best Wallet.

This is useful if you want to deposit ETH or an ERC-20 token to your Best Wallet from another crypto wallet you own or from crypto exchanges such as Coinbase or Binance.

You can either watch our video tutorial or follow the easy steps below:

Step 1: Select the receiving wallet

First, select which wallet in Best Wallet you want to receive your Ethereum asset. Once you’ve chosen your wallet, tap the “Receive” button on the card section.

Next, make sure you're receiving your Ethereum assets to the right wallet — you can change your wallet at the top.

Next, select the right wallet from the list.

Once you've got the right wallet, the next step is finding the right blockchain address!

Note: You can deposit Ethereum assets to both your multi-chain wallets and EVM-only wallets in Best Wallet.

Step 2: Get the right blockchain address

The next step is to ensure that you get the correct blockchain address.

In your multi-chain wallets, you will have several different addresses — one for Ethereum, one for Bitcoin, and so on. Although they all fall under one wallet, they are distinct addresses for their respective blockchains, and quite often can't interact with each other (unless they are EVM addresses).

It's important to select your wallet's Ethereum address, and not the Bitcoin address or any other non-EVM chain — by sending Ethereum to an incompatible address, you may lose your funds or end up paying wasted transaction fees.

To find your address, it's quickest to search by chain:

Next, select the Ethereum Chain.

Step 3: Copy your Ethereum address

Once you've selected Ethereum Chain, you will see your specific EVM address.

Your wallet address is the long alphanumeric string at the bottom, whilst you can also use your QR grid (which represents that same alphanumeric string).

You can copy and share your long alphanumeric wallet address directly from this screen.

If you’re receiving ETH or an ERC-20 token from another wallet or an exchange, copying and pasting this address into the sending platform is the easiest way to ensure accuracy.

Step 4: Send via the other platform/wallet

If you're depositing from another wallet or an exchange, you will need to copy and paste the address into their send/withdraw field.

Note: Ethereum transactions may take a few minutes to process, depending on network congestion.

To see all your transaction activity, go to the Trade tab:

Then History:

Here, you will see all your transactions, including any Ethereum network deposits.

Also, remember that all blockchain transactions, including Ethereum, are irreversible. Ensure the wallet address you use for the transfer is 100% correct to avoid any issues receiving your ETH or ERC-20 tokens.

If you're new to receiving or transferring crypto, it's a good idea to do a small test amount first. This approach allows you to familiarise yourself with the Receive process in Best Wallet and practice how to securely transfer your funds without putting large sums at risk.

How long do Ethereum deposits take?

The time it takes to receive Ethereum assets depends on the Ethereum network's activity. On busier days, transactions may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. Larger transactions may also take longer to confirm.

Once you’ve received your ETH or ERC-20 token, it will show up in the “History” tab, where you can view the details of the transaction, including the sender's wallet address.

Need further support?

While receiving crypto in your Best Wallet is straightforward, make sure to double-check all the details, including your wallet address, to ensure the transfer goes through smoothly.

If your crypto doesn't show up instantly, don’t worry. It’s likely just pending while the network processes it. Give it a few minutes, refresh your wallet, and your tokens should be visible shortly.

If your deposits keep failing or if they seem stuck, please contact support at [email protected] or open a ticket on our Support site, and our team will help troubleshoot the issue.

Important reminder: No one from Best Wallet will ever request your wallet’s private key. Keep this information strictly private and do not share it with anyone.
