Learn how to receive BTC tokens in your Best Wallet app.

In this article:

Learn the simple steps to receive Bitcoin directly to your Best Wallet. This is useful if you want to deposit Bitcoin (BTC) to your Best Wallet from another crypto wallet you own or from crypto exchanges such as Coinbase or Binance.

You can either watch our video tutorial or follow the easy steps below.

Step 1: Select the receiving wallet

First, select which wallet in Best Wallet you want to receive your Bitcoin. Once you’ve selected your wallet, there will be a “Receive” button on the card section.

You can also receive Bitcoin from within the "Trade" tab.

Once you're in the Trade tab, you will see an option to receive. Both options will bring you to the same page.

Next, make sure you're receiving Bitcoin to the right wallet — you can change your wallet at the top.

You will see a list of all your wallets in Best Wallet — remember, you can only deposit Bitcoin to your multi-chain wallets.

Once you've got the right wallet, the next step is finding the right blockchain address! Remember: You can only deposit Bitcoin (BTC) to your multi-chain wallets in Best Wallet.

Step 2: Get the right blockchain address

The next step is to ensure that you get the correct blockchain address.

You have several different addresses within one wallet — one for Ethereum, one for Bitcoin, and so on. Although they all fall under one wallet, they are distinct addresses for their respective blockchains, and quite often can't interact with each other (unless they are EVM addresses).

It's important to select your wallet's Bitcoin address, and not the Ethereum address or any other — by sending Bitcoin to an incompatible address, you may lose your funds or end up paying wasted transaction fees.

To find your Bitcoin address, either search via token:

Or via chain:

Then select Bitcoin blockchain.

Remember: If you try to receive Bitcoin to your Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon addresses, your deposit will either fail or your funds will be lost.

Step 3: Share your Bitcoin address

Once you've selected Bitcoin (BTC) as the token or Bitcoin as the chain, you will see your Bitcoin address.

Your wallet address is the long alphanumeric string at the bottom, whilst you can also use your QR grid (which represents that same alphanumeric string).

You can share the QR code by tapping the "Tap to share image" button. This option is useful if you're receiving Bitcoin from someone else or if you’re sending Bitcoin from another wallet that can scan saved images.

You can also copy and share your long alphanumeric wallet address directly from this screen.

If you’re receiving Bitcoin from another wallet or an exchange, copying and pasting this address into the sending platform is the easiest way to ensure accuracy.

Step 4: Send your BTC via the other platform/wallet

If you're depositing from another wallet or an exchange, you will need to copy and paste the address into their send/withdraw field.

Note: Bitcoin transactions may take a few minutes to process, depending on network congestion. After the transaction is complete, your Bitcoin deposit will appear in your wallet shortly.

Also, remember that all blockchain transactions, including Bitcoin, are irreversible. Ensure the wallet address you send to the sender is 100% correct to avoid any issues receiving your Bitcoin.

If you're new to receiving or transferring Bitcoin, it's a good crypto practice a small test amount first. This approach allows you to familiarise yourself with the Receive process in Best Wallet and practice how to securely transfer your funds without putting large sums at risk.

How long do Bitcoin deposits take?

The time it takes to receive Bitcoin depends on the Bitcoin network's activity. On busier days, transactions may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. Larger transactions may also take longer to confirm.

Once you’ve received your Bitcoin, it will show up in the “Transaction” tab, where you can view the details of the transaction, including the sender's wallet address.

Need help receiving Bitcoin?

While receiving Bitcoin in your Best Wallet is straightforward, make sure to double-check all the details, including your wallet address, to ensure the transfer goes through smoothly.

If your Bitcoin doesn't show up instantly, don’t worry. It’s likely just pending while the network processes it. Give it a few minutes, refresh your wallet, and your Bitcoin should be visible shortly.

If your deposits keep failing, or if they are stuck in pending status, please contact support at [email protected], and our team will help troubleshoot the issue.

Important reminder: Best Wallet will never request your wallet’s private key or secret recovery phrase. Keep this information strictly private and do not share it with anyone.
