You’ll learn why your Upcoming Tokens purchases aren’t visible in your wallet after buying, and what steps you need to take to claim them once they’re ready.
Two main types of tokens are available in Upcoming Tokens: pre-launch tokens and fair launch tokens. These will require different actions post-purchase.
What to do if you've bought a pre-launch token in Upcoming Tokens
If you’ve purchased a pre-launch token in the Upcoming Tokens tab of your Best Wallet and noticed they aren’t showing up in your wallet’s token list, don’t worry—this is completely normal.
Think of buying pre-launch tokens as reserving them — you will receive your tokens when the project/token fully launches.
If you can't see your tokens even after the token sale ends, this might be for many reasons:
The TGE hasn’t happened yet
The Token Generation Event (TGE) is when a project officially mints and distributes its tokens to buyers. This event often coincides with the token’s listing on decentralised exchanges. If the TGE has not occurred, your purchased tokens remain in a holding phase.
There's nothing for you to do at this stage, just stay updated on the project and they will share the TGE details in due course.
You haven’t claimed your new tokens
After purchasing pre-launch tokens, you must also wait until the claiming period is activated. Once this occurs, you’ll need to manually claim your tokens through the Best Wallet app or the token project’s official platform/website. Until you complete this step, the tokens will not appear in your wallet.
The claiming process ensures that tokens are securely distributed to investors and prevents unauthorised transactions before the official launch.
The token is not listed on CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap yet
In some cases, tokens may not appear in your main wallet even after claiming them if they are not yet listed on platforms like CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap. These platforms provide essential token data, such as price and market capitalisation, allowing wallets to display the tokens accurately.
If a token is unlisted, it may still exist in your wallet but won’t be visible unless you manually add it. To do this, you’ll need the token’s contract address, which can be found in the Best Wallet app or the official project page.
What to do if you've bought a fair launch token in Upcoming tokens
If you've purchased a fair launch token in the Upcoming Tokens tab of your Best Wallet and you can't see your new tokens in your wallet, don't worry—there's a simple fix.
Fair launch tokens are essentially just new tokens put directly onto the market — no pre-launch stage, just instantly launched and you can buy directly from the project developers.
Once the purchase is confirmed, you will see your balance in the Upcoming Tokens tab. To see them in your wallet's token list, all you need to do is refresh your token list. You can do this by going to your wallet's home screen, tapping the three dots next to the Upcoming Tokens tab, and then ‘Refresh list’.
Once that's done, you should see your new tokens in your wallet's token list.
What to do after purchasing pre-launch tokens in Upcoming Tokens
While you may not see your tokens immediately in your main wallet, here’s what you can do during the pre-launch period:
Track your tokens in your Upcoming Tokens tab
During the pre-launch phase, your tokens will remain visible in the Upcoming Tokens tab in your Best Wallet. This section allows you to monitor their status, track their value, and receive updates on any important milestones, including the TGE and claiming periods.
Once the listing goes live and the tokens are officially launched, they will then be visible in your main wallet, ready for you to trade, claim, or manage.
Stay informed about key updates
Best Wallet keeps you in the loop with real-time notifications about your pre-launch tokens. You will receive alerts when the claiming period begins when the TGE is scheduled, and when the tokens officially go live on exchanges. These notifications ensure you don’t miss any important updates and can take action as soon as the tokens are available.
Make sure you've got ETH or BNB in your wallet for the gas fee when claiming
When the project's pre-launch period ends and the claim period opens, you will need to claim your new tokens before being able to trade them. This will incur a gas fee, which will be payable in either ETH or BNB (depending on which network you bought on).
It's good practice to make sure you've got a healthy amount of ETH or BNB in your wallet so that you can successfully claim and trade your new tokens!
