How To Turn On/Off Developer Mode in Best Wallet

Learn more about what Developer Mode means in Best Wallet.

Learn how to toggle Developer Mode on or off in Best Wallet, and why you might want to use it.

Enabling Best Wallet's Developer Mode will only display test network assets, such as Goerli ETH, the testnet token of the Goerli Testnet, an essential part of the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem.

Whilst Developer Mode is toggled on, all your tokens apart from testnet tokens will disappear from your wallet; however, this does not mean they are lost — all you need to do is toggle off Developer Mode to see them again.

By turning on Best Wallet's Developer Mode, you can engage with the Goerli ETH testnet, which is useful for developers to experiment, test, and validate transactions and applications without the risk of financial loss.

Whilst you normally won't need to enable Developer Mode, it's useful to know what it is and why it's used. If you ever see your wallet with "Goerli Ether" in it, you may have accidentally togged on Developer Mode.

Step 1: Heading to your Settings

First, head to your Best Wallet's Settings tab, which is found in the navigation bar.

Step 2: Toggling on/off Developer Mode

Next, toggle on/off Developer Mode. We only recommend using Developer Mode if you are an experienced crypto and web3 user and have a specific reason to use it.

Note: To see all your cryptocurrencies in your wallet, all you need to do is disable Developer Mode.

Once Developer Mode is enabled, you will be able to engage with Goerli ETH, one of the Ethereum network's main testnets.

Customize your Best Wallet to suit you

You can customize your Best Wallet in many different ways, including enabling Hide Suspicious Tokens, enabling or changing 2FA, and your app's passcode/biometrics.
