In this article:
Learn how to toggle on or off your biometric authentication, which you can then use to authenticate transactions and access your wallet's private keys/secret recovery phrase.
This is useful if you didn't turn on biometric authentication when setting up your Best Wallet, or if you want to disable it and just use your Best Wallet passcode instead.
Note: Best Wallet will use your device's biometrics to authenticate actions in-app, meaning you cannot change your biometrics in Best Wallet, only toggle it on/off.
If you need to change your FaceID or Fingerprint, you need to do this in your device's settings.
Step 1: Heading to your Settings tab
First, open your Best Wallet app. From the home screen, go to the Settings tab in your navigation bar.
Step 2: Toggling on/off
Next, go to the "Biometrics" option and toggle it on/off.
If you are toggling it on, you will have to authenticate yourself with FaceID/Fingerprint to be able to switch it on. Once that is done, you should see it activated.
Now, you will be able to authenticate actions like sending your crypto with your biometrics.
Keeping your Best Wallet safe
We recommend you keep your biometrics toggled on, for an extra layer of safety. In the case that you lose your device, it's far easier to guess/hack a passcode than your biometrics.
Important reminder: Best Wallet will never request your wallet’s private key or secret recovery phrase. Keep this information strictly private and do not share it with anyone.
