In this article:
Learn how advanced gas controls help you manage pending transactions in Best Wallet, including when to use the Speed Up and Cancel options, how gas fees are applied, and what transaction statuses mean.
Please Note: Advanced gas controls are available in multi-chain wallets and only for EVM chain transactions, meaning you can Speed Up or Cancel a transaction on the Ethereum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon chains.
What are advanced gas controls?
Advanced gas controls give you more control when transactions get stuck due to low gas fees or network congestion.
With this feature, you can:
Speed Up a pending transaction by resending it with a higher gas fee so it confirms faster.
Cancel a pending transaction by sending a 0-value replacement with the same nonce and a higher gas fee.
This means you no longer need to wait for hours (or even days) if a transaction gets stuck. Instead, you can take action directly inside Best Wallet.
How does Speed Up work?
When you choose Speed Up, Best Wallet resubmits your pending transaction with a higher gas fee. This increases the chance of your transaction being picked up by validators more quickly.
You can choose between “Fast” or “Urgent” gas fee options.
If you don’t have enough balance to cover the increased fee, Speed Up will not be available.
Once confirmed, the transaction will appear in your history as “Speed Up.”
Read our step-by-step guide on how to speed up a pending transaction.
How does Cancel work?
When you choose Cancel, Best Wallet sends a 0-value replacement transaction using the same nonce as your pending one, but with a higher gas fee to override the stuck transaction.
If the Cancel transaction confirms first, your original pending transaction will show as Cancelled.
If your original transaction is already confirmed, cancellation won’t work.
You’ll see statuses like Cancelling and Cancelled in your transaction details.
Read our step-by-step guide on how to cancel a stuck transaction.
When to use advanced gas controls
You might want to use advanced gas controls if:
Your transaction is stuck or seems to be indefinitely pending
You want to finalize the transaction quickly.
You want to stop a transaction you no longer wish to complete.
Important notes
Advanced gas controls are only available in multi-chain wallets, and only for EVM chains.
You must have enough funds in your wallet to cover the higher gas fee.
Gas fees are set by crypto networks — not by Best Wallet.
