Learn the simple steps to successfully send Bitcoin from one wallet to another using your Best Wallet.
Transferring your BTC tokens from one wallet to another (or to an exchange) is a useful skill to have in crypto, and is made simple in Best Wallet.
Step 1: Start your transfer
The easiest way to start your Bitcoin transfer is by tapping the “Send” button in the wallet card — make sure you select the right wallet first.
Next, select Bitcoin from the token list.
Step 2: Enter the receiving address
The next step is to enter the recipient's wallet address.
A crypto wallet address is an alphanumeric public identifier — think of it a bit like your bank's account number and sort code (or IBAN). It's perfectly safe to share with people you trust.
Note: You will have to enter a valid Bitcoin address in order to be able to send BTC tokens.
The best practice is to copy and paste addresses to avoid errors.
You can also double-check the wallet address on the next page. If you enter the wrong or incorrectly copied wallet address, your transaction will fail or result in the crypto being sent to the wrong wallet.
Note: All Bitcoin transactions are permanent and irreversible. Best Wallet cannot undo or help recover crypto sent to the wrong address. Please double-check the wallet address carefully before sending.
If you're new to sending Bitcoin, it's best practice to send small test amounts to familiarize yourself with the process. This approach allows you to get comfortable with the Send process in Best Wallet and practice how to securely transfer your funds without putting large sums at risk.
Step 3: Set up your transfer
Next, enter the Bitcoin amount you want to send.
If you want to send all your BTC, hit "Max" — this will send all your tokens, and factor in gas fees, too. If you try to manually send too much, you will be warned with the "Insufficient balance for transfer".
Remember, you will have to pay gas fees on your transaction. This has to be paid in the native token of the network you're sending on. So, as you're sending Bitcoin, you need to pay the gas fee in Bitcoin itself (BTC).
Note: The gas fee amount will be updated every 12 seconds. This is because gas fees can fluctuate depending on how busy the Bitcoin network is, so Best Wallet will keep updating the expected gas fee to ensure an accurate breakdown of costs.
Once you’ve set the amount you want to send and have enough to cover the gas fee, tap "Next" to be taken to the final confirmation screen.
You will be given an "Estimated total" amount in your chosen fiat currency (US Dollars, the Euro, British Pounds, etc). This is both the token value sent plus the gas fee.
Note: This is only an estimate and could change due to fluctuations in token price and gas fees.
Step 4: Process your transfer
Tap "Confirm", and you will have to enter your passcode or use your biometrics to confirm the transaction.
Once that is done, all you will have to do is wait as your transfer is being processed. This shouldn't take longer than 30 seconds.
You will then get a confirmation message that your transaction was successful, and you can return to the home screen by sliding the bar at the bottom.
How to check your transaction status in Best Wallet
You can see the status of any transaction in your wallet by going to the Trade tab, then the History section.
You will then see a list of all transactions made by your wallet in Best Wallet — some may not show up if it's an imported EVM-only wallet.
Clicking on the transaction will give you the details, including the transaction status, the sending address to the recipient address, the amount sent, and the gas fee.
You can also view this on a blockchain explorer — read our guide on how to find your Bitcoin address.
Once it's completed, you should see your Bitcoin tokens in the receiving wallet or exchange account.
