Learn how to import your $PEPU tokens so they're accessible in Best Wallet.

Updated this week

In this article:

Learn how to manually import the Pepe Unchained ($PEPU) token address into your Best Wallet.

Important: First, you will have to claim your Pepe Unchained tokens. The claim period opens on Tuesday the 10th of December at 14:00 UTC. Read our guide on how to claim your $PEPU tokens.

Once you have claimed, you should automatically see your $PEPU tokens in your wallet, but if you don't, then follow this guide to manually import the Pepe Unchained token address into your wallet.

Why do tokens need to be imported?

Tokens either new or relatively unknown may not automatically appear in your wallet. This happens because they might not yet be widely indexed by wallet platforms or have only recently launched on a blockchain.

Manually importing tokens ensures they display correctly under your token list in Best Wallet so that you can manage and trade them without issue.

Steps to import your Pepe Unchained tokens

Importing your $PEPU tokens into Best Wallet is quick and easy. Below are the quick steps on how to import Pepe Unchained, but please read our detailed general guide with a video tutorial on how to find and import tokens.

Step 1: Locating the contract address

The contract address contains all the essential details about the Pepe Unchained token, and importing it will mean you can access and trade $PEPU tokens. Pepe Unchained is launching on Ethereum, so you will need to import it on the Ethereum network.

The Pepe Unchained token address is:

0xadd39272E83895E7d3f244f696B7a25635F34234

Normally, you can find a token address by:

• Visiting the official token website or ecosystem website.

• Checking trusted platforms like CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko.

Note: Some pre-launch tokens may have several token addresses for different networks (one for Ethereum, one for BNB Smart Chain, etc). However, Pepe Unchained has only one token address, as $PEPU is being launched only on the Ethereum blockchain.

Step 2: Starting the import process

First, open your Best Wallet and go to the home screen. Next, tap the three dots next to the Tokens/Upcoming Tokens tabs.

Then select "Manage tokens".

At the top left, there will be the option to start the Import process.

Step 3: Inputting the contract address

Next, you will have to input Pepe Unchained's contract address (also occasionally referred to as a token address).

Make sure you have selected the Ethereum Chain.

You can find Pepe Unchained's contract address on CoinMarketCap or copy it here: 0xadd39272E83895E7d3f244f696B7a25635F34234

Next, paste the copied contract address into the designated field.

Best Wallet will auto-fill the token name, symbol, and decimals once the address is validated. You can also import Pepe Unchained to all your wallets in Best Wallet (main, imported, and created wallets).

Step 4: Checking the details

Next tap "Confirm". You’ll see the token details, including its name, symbol, and logo. Take this moment to double-check that everything is correct, particularly the blockchain and ticker/symbol.

There may not be the Pepe Unchained token logo yet, but this will be imported in automatically once $PEPU fully launches.

Tap Import to complete the process.

Step 5: Finalising your $PEPU import

Your $PEPU tokens will now be visible in your wallet balance and your token list on your home screen.

Note: You may not see an accurate price or token image for Pepe Unchained for 24 to 48 hours after you claim your $PEPU tokens. This is completely natural as the token fully launches.

Tips for a smooth import

  • Use the Correct Token/Contract Address: Use only official sources like the Pepe Unchained website or verified listings on CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko.

  • Select the Correct Network: Ensure your import is set to the correct network (for Pepe Unchained, it has to be Ethereum). If you select the wrong network, your import won't work and Pepe Unchained won’t appear in your wallet's token list.

  • Review all Details: The confirmation screen is your final opportunity to verify the contract address, network, and token details before importing.

Struggling to see your Pepe Unchained tokens?

If you have imported the Pepe Unchained token address into Best Wallet and still can’t see your $PEPU tokens, this may be due to another reason.

For example, you won't see your Pepe Unchained balance in your wallet until you claim your tokens — the claim period starts on Tuesday the 10th of December at 14:00 UTC.

Once you’ve claimed your Pepe Unchained tokens, it may take several minutes before you receive your tokens in Best Wallet.

If you have claimed your tokens and imported the token address for Pepe Unchained and still can’t see your tokens, first please consult the Upcoming Tokens help guides, and then email [email protected] or message through the Best Wallet app so the support team can troubleshoot and resolve your issue.

It’s important to remember nobody from Best Wallet will ever ask for your wallet’s private key or secret recovery phrase.
